If we just take a sense of frustration, for example: impersonal awareness is aware of frustration. Frustration is just like a wave—an energetic wave—and you’re familiar with that feeling.
But the element of consent has been activated where you’ve personalized it, and you’re saying that you are frustrated. Yes, but you were never frustrated, because there is simply impersonal awareness of that energetic frequency that you call frustration.
When you consent to the idea that it’s personalized and say, “Oh, I’m frustrated,” then you’re on the ride. You’re on the frustration theme park ride. But you never actually stepped onto that ride, because you’re the infinite being, which is neutral and effortless.
There’s an invitation onto that ride that says, “If you pretend that you’re this person, then you can pretend that you’re frustrated, and you’ll have the full-on ride as though you are.” But you never became this person. You’ve simply consented to the ride. That’s where you’re exercising consent.
The way it works is that the body-mind is like a mobile phone. Energetically, within this matrix, there are certain experiences and certain tendencies—certain tendencies to go on a particular ride. You have had a tendency to go on the frustration ride quite a bit.
The way that works is that a thought and emotion are delivered into the body-mind, saying, “Oh, I’m frustrated because I’m not getting this.” That thought and emotion are delivered into the body-mind as though they’re yours.
Because nobody has told you that they aren’t yours—that they’re actually a transmission into the body-mind—you’ve taken them to be true. You’ve taken it to be a person who’s frustrated, when it never was. You were simply deceived into taking delivery of that frequency, believing that it was yours.
You, the infinite being, consent to that limitation. You then plug your energy supply into it and fuel it as though it’s yours. But you’re the one paying for that ride, because the energy comes from your infinite nature. It’s your consent to the idea that the frustration is yours that fuels—or pays for—that ride.
So there’s the energetic expenditure of frustration, when in reality it’s all because you were deceived into believing that it was your thought and your feeling.
