Lots of spiritual teachings and practices have to do with processing content when there’s a feeling of discomfort or contraction. The key is to become aligned with Effortless Being, because Effortless Being is impersonal, and it’s your true nature.
We can focus our attention on any of the Koshas—it could be on the mental realm, the emotional realm, or the physical realm—but if we’re prioritizing any of those realms, we’re actually maintaining a sense of personalization, because personalization exists in each of those realms.
While it’s possible to neutralize some of the content, that will only be a temporary experience, because the only ultimate solution is to rest as impersonal, effortless being. When we function from effortless, impersonal being, our sovereignty is present, and we actually decide the degree to which we’re entertaining the personal realm.
But if we’re maintaining an aspect of the personal realm—for instance, the idea that we need to process content personally, such as the arising of certain mental or emotional blocks—then we can be engaged with those forever. They’re built on the flimsy foundation of personalization.
While we’re maintaining personalization, we can play with that content eternally, because it will continue arising as long as we’ve subtly adopted personalization, thinking that we have to resolve the personalization.
The solution, though, is to withdraw the investment from any aspect of personalization. When you’re resting as effortless, impersonal being, you can determine the energetic investment in any of the realms—whether mental, emotional, or physical.
If there’s an investment in the mental realm, it tends to create a mental disturbance. If the primary focus is the etheric or emotional realm, it tends to be an emotional disturbance. And if the primary focus is on the physical realm, it tends to result in a physical imbalance.
So really, it’s just about becoming familiar with impersonal being. These solutions are actually so simple that they can be overlooked, because we’ve been so conditioned to process personalized content—and that becomes an eternal job.
Unfortunately, most spiritual practices are actually in service to the dualistic realm. They tend to encourage practices that require a lot of energetic investment but don’t really yield anything of lasting value.
Join us for a live webinar exploring Effortless Being. Together, we’ll look more deeply at how to rest beyond personalization and live from the peace of impersonal awareness.
