We could spend eternity describing something conceptually, yet it would never convey the direct experience of it. This is because only through Effortless Being can anything truly be known. Everything is effortlessly known—everything is registered in Awareness. It’s only when we step into the mind that we begin to conceptualize.
The mind is like a football commentator: it points to the action and describes what’s happening, but it has nothing to do with the play itself. That’s all the mind is—a commentator, not a player. Recognizing this simple distinction allows our energy to disengage from the mental, emotional, and physical realms so we can simply rest as Being.
For everyone, the key is to rest and notice what arises effortlessly—because, in reality, there is only this present moment.
Even time and space are constructs that make it appear as though we exist within a particular reality. In truth, it’s much simpler: in every moment, we are already resting as Effortless Being. Right now, there’s awareness of this email, of the image on the screen, and of the objects in the room.
Whatever arises in the moment is constantly changing. What never changes is the Awareness that knows those changes.
If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to join me at our next online event. We can explore this—and much more—together.
With love,
David Bingham
