Not very long ago, one of my cousins revealed what he and the other family members believed about me before the age of five:
“We always thought there was something wrong with you, David, because your speech was really slow and you didn’t really engage very much with anyone.”
Well, the reason I was like this was that it simply took a lot of effort to interact in the dualistic realm; it wasn’t a particularly desirable experience for me. This was how I was for several years.
Finally, I had to concede (in a way) to the invitation of where I’m being described as this person existing in time and space. However, I didn’t take it to be reality or my identity. I just figured since others seem to be enjoying this game, I’ll go along with it; I’ll pretend as well.
I found that I quite liked playing with the different character modes because it’s actually enjoyable, in a way, knowing that we never actually move from our Infinite Nature into the character. But we can assume any role depending on the circumstances.
The key is remembering that you’re always functioning from Unity Consciousness, even if you’re playing a different character. It’s a small concession to the invitation, but it’s on your terms because you maintain the knowing of your true self (Infinite Nature). And then the experience of the dualistic realm becomes enjoyable.
I’ll discuss invitations in my next online event. More information here…
With love,
David Bingham
