When I left the meditation community I lived in, I had quite a challenging time financially. But it resolved in a way that was quite different from the conventional approach.
The conventional way is to rely on hard work and overexertion. But I decided not to do that. I decided to make the day as delightful as possible.
That meant doing some meditation and doing some work, maybe four or five hours a day. You simply allocate an amount of time. If you have responsibilities with family, obviously there are things that need to be done, but it’s about allocating a certain amount of time to those things and also giving time to other things.
Rather than being bound by the conventional approach, which is based on hard work, I focused on devising life to be as light and delightful as possible.
What actually happened was that the house I was improving took much longer. It took 18 months. Through exertion, I could have finished it in perhaps six months. But what happened was that the value of the house doubled during that time.
That was effortless being demonstrating that functioning from your sovereignty, rather than from a sense of being hurried and under pressure, is definitely the way to go.
In every aspect of life, you can exercise that. The more you do, the more time there seems to be, because you are the infinite being, and you’re shining the light of your infinite potential through whatever the filter is.
If the filter is overexertion or being overburdened, then we activate that frequency because you are the infinite being. It isn’t necessary to be overburdened.
What you find is that when you reclaim your sovereignty and begin to call the shots as to how things need to be, time seems to appear and things get organized behind the scenes. The intelligence that comes from your infinite nature will organize things without you even having to think about them.
But because we’ve been conditioned into mind predominance, there’s the idea that we have to take responsibility for everything. We’re burdened with all of this content, and when we’re taking responsibility for it through the mind, we’re operating within the energy system, and it’s draining.
It’s really easy to sense which system you’re serving. One feels light and has a sense of things coming from nowhere to support you. The other has a sense of contraction, pressure, and being overburdened.
You may not shift immediately, but simply making the decision to work in that way is something you can play with, just to see how it transforms things.
If you’re at the head of your household, your children are tuning in telepathically to you as well. The more ease, timelessness, and lightness you’re demonstrating, the more they will feel that. It gives them a sense of ease and peace.
Your family’s infinite nature also comes more to the foreground in their own experience as a result.
For you, there isn’t really anything missing. It is already there. There is only the residue of the invitations and conditioning, and you can simply turn the volume down on them because you are the sovereign being.
This is all really about perception. The moment we begin to see through a filter of pressure, life feels contracted. Time feels scarce. Everything becomes something to manage. But when we begin to see through a different filter—one of sovereignty, trust, and ease—something remarkable happens. New possibilities emerge that weren’t visible before.
