My barber, who’s been cutting my hair since I was five years old, is a dear friend. Not long ago, he said to me, “You know, I’m getting older now. I don’t think I’ll be having much more fun.”
I told him, “That’s only true if you believe it. The idea that aging means the end of joy is just a pattern and patterns can be changed. If you hold onto that thought, you’ll play it out. But if you open yourself to the possibility of new experiences, life will respond in kind. It’s about letting go of the old scripts and welcoming the unexpected with a sense of adventure.”
He took those words to heart, and that’s exactly what happened. His life opened in beautiful and surprising ways.
It’s a reminder that the moment we recognize how our predominant patterns have shaped our lives, we can begin to rewrite them. Once you realize you are — and have always been — the director of your own story, you can choose a new theme. If you’ve spent years living from a script of inferiority or limitation (as I once did), you don’t have to keep playing that role. The script can change and so can the experience.
This applies to every part of life — relationships, family, work, friendships. It’s about reclaiming the natural joy, power, and freedom that have always been yours.
Everything we hold as true, even unconsciously, manifests in our reality. Everyone is infinitely creative, whether they realize it or not.
When you begin to awaken to your Infinite Nature, life becomes a celebration. You are no longer bound by the old narratives of lack or limitation. You see clearly that you can release them and write a new story, one rooted in wholeness, wonder, and aliveness.
If you feel drawn to explore this in community, I’d love to have you join me for our next online gathering. Together, we will anchor into the vastness that has always been here and allow life to reveal itself anew.
With love,
David Bingham
